I'm having a Monday

Why do we even have to report to work on Mondays? No one is productive..or awake. I truly love my job & am so lucky to HAVE one, but really...it's Monday. The plus for today is I came in at 6am to do an orientation, so I am able to leave at 3. I will then be heading to the gym - then home to grab Eric (after showering) and heading off to Easton for dinner with Brian and Heather.

Abuelos! Yum!!

Weekend was fun - filled with friends & lots of good food. Friday, I went to one of my favorites - Marcella's with my friend Julie. We ate & ate & ate.. it was SO good. Then Saturday I had maker's market -- unfortunalty no one showed up. But, it was still fun to barter with my fellow artists. Ended up with a new tote bag (because i sure don't have enough at home already), a new painting and some pottery. Then - i headed to Perfect Image to get my hair done, then to Easton with Mindi for shopping - then to Mac's Cafe for Burgers and beer. I strongly recomment Winter Warmer by Harpoon if you like that dark beer. It's reeeeeeeeeeeeally reeeeeeeeeally good. I was old & tired so after a quick trip to The Meijer, I made Mindi take me home. I fought with the new TV for a few minutes & decided that technology was too much for me & went to bed. Alas....the furry alarm clock named Grendel woke me up at 6am. So I finally got the TV & new DVR to work and watched I Am Legend.

** Side note..... the movie was good, but the book was SO much better. Vampires always make an interesting story. WHY do they have to make all the changes to the movie!? And I'd forgotten how sad the part with "SAM" was... :(

So after lazing on the couch - i got motivated to meet Dale at the gym. After 30 minutes on the eliptical, too many 'pop a shot ab moves' and a good conversation - I headed home to clean. Mindi came over to finish off Entourage - then Eric came home from drill. The details of my day end there... somethings have to be private, you know..this IS the Internet after all :)

I did make some YUMMY chili for dinner with corn bread. I think I finally got it with the chili recipe. Eric likes it thick and I may have finally got it right...

Chili Recipe

2 lbs ground beef

large can of Brooks "HOT" chili beans

large can of tomato sauce

3 tablespoons of Tastefully Simple "Wahoo Chili" seasoning

click here to order some! :)
So the night ended with us watching the season finale's of Dexter and Californication...
And here I am at work..being non-productive. At least I updated my blog, right? :)
Enjoy...more another day.
